Academic Coach and University Admissions Counsellor
Ashiyana Kesari Desay
I work with students who are capable but stuck, held back by anxiety, self-doubt, ADHD challenges, perfectionism or the overwhelming pressure of high-stakes applications.
My background combines a Cambridge education (Human, Social and Political Sciences, MA Cantab) with training in counselling skills, creative mindfulness, and years of hands-on work in academic and pastoral settings. I support students through KS3, GCSEs and IB/A-Levels, and applications to competitive universities or apprenticeship schemes.
I draw on research in neuroscience, cognitive behavioural coaching and mindfulness to help students understand what is happening in their brains, and to build the mindset and strategies that underpin academic performance.

Helping Students to Master their Minds for Academic Performance
Your ability has never been the problem.

Most students who come to me aren't struggling because they aren't clever enough. They're struggling because something is getting in the way: anxiety, self-doubt, a fear of failure, time management/ procrastination challenges, memory/tactical revision difficulties, or a brain that won't cooperate under pressure the way they need it to. I help students remove those barriers to uncover the potential latent within.
